The Parliamentary Archives presents an exhibition on the theme for Women’s History Month: ‘Parliamentary Women’. The exhibition started at the beginning of March and will end on Friday 3 April 2009. Exhibited are original Bills and Petitions, including a petition from the “daughters and wives of the citizens of Sydney” against the renewal of transportation; and the original Women’s Franchise Bill of 1902. As well, many digitised copies of original documents and photographs of women members and candidates are shown. The exhibition is located in the Premiers Corridor, between the Lobbies of the two Houses; there is another display case in the Legislative Assembly Lobby.
