Inquiry Terms of Reference

Established under the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, the PAC has a wide scope to review the efficiency, effectiveness and accountability of the State's public sector. The Committee produces an annual review, which includes information on the Committee's powers and functions.

Due to the expiration of the Parliament on 28 February 2003, the Committee does not currently exist. Under section 54(1) of the Public Finance and Audit Act 1983, the Committee will be re-appointed as soon as practicable after the commencement of the first session of the new Parliament. The members listed above comprised the Committee during the 52nd Parliament, 1999-2003.
