Invitation to attend a public forum
Members of the public are invited to attend a public forum that the Committee will hold to enable community members to have their say on the operations of the Home Building Service.
The forum will take place from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon on Friday 2 November 2007 in the Jubilee Room, Parliament House, Macquarie Street, Sydney. Participants will be asked to address the inquiry terms of reference, and in particular, to state their views on:
- The builder licensing system
Complaints resolution and disciplinary processes
The Home Warranty Insurance Scheme and/or
The Home Building Advocacy Service.
If you would like to participate in the forum, please register your interest with the Committee secretariat. Due to the limited time available, speakers will be limited to approximately 5 minutes per person. Priority will be given to individuals who did not give oral evidence during the previous inquiry conducted by GPSC No.4, and who register early. It is important to the Committee that people with a range of views participate in this significant event.
