Standing Order No. 155
Return of Legislative Assembly bill
- When a bill has been passed by the Council with or without amendment, it will be returned to the Assembly by message, with the Clerk’s certificate that the bill has been agreed to by the Council without amendment, or with the amendments indicated by the accompanying schedule, as the case may require, requesting the concurrence of the Assembly to the amendments.
- When any amendments have been made by the Council to a bill which has been first passed by the Assembly, a schedule of the amendments will be prepared containing reference to the page and line of the bill where the words are to be inserted or omitted, and describing the amendments proposed, and this schedule will be certified by the Clerk and will accompany the bill.
