        2. Condemns the Government for cost shifting to the business owners by expecting them to pay for their own storage tank and grinder pumping equipment as well as ongoing electricity costs.
        3. Calls on the Minister for Water Utilities to immediately change the sewerage connection back to a gravity system to alleviate costs for businesses as well as environmental damage.

That this House:
        1. Congratulates the State Government and the Minister for Health on the announcement that Shoalhaven Hospital will receive $200,000 in funding for specialised equipment to be used in the treatment of severe obesity.
        2. Notes the funding is part of the $1.9M commitment by the Government to preventative health care in NSW rural hospitals.
        3. Condemns the Federal Government for overseeing a reduction in Federal health funding throughout eleven years of Government.
        4. Recognises the additional burden placed on NSW health services as a result of the Federal Government’s failure to maintain investment in this essential service.

        1. Congratulates the Government for delivering on its pre-election promise of providing a $100,000 mobile police station to the Brisbane Water Local Area Command.

        3. Commends the Government’s commitment to driving down crime and providing local police with state of the art equipment.

        2. Notes Chris is a quadriplegic and requires his next residence to be fitted out to accommodate his needs.
        3. Notes the Department of Housing has not offered transitional accommodation for Chris and Deborah whilst their proposed new home is having works performed.
        4. Condemns the Member for Drummoyne for failing to assist Chris and Deborah so that Chris does not have to be readmitted into hospital because there is no interim accommodation.
        5. Urges the Department of Housing to offer temporary accommodation to Chris and Deborah whilst they wait the six months until the new Department house is upgraded to meet Chris’ needs.

        3. Notes a petition from 1,158 citizens who joined the Daily Telegraph’s campaign protesting the CIN system.

        4. Notes the description of Eric Rolls in the Sydney Morning Herald’s obituary published on November 7, 2007 as an “ardent environmentalist” with “strong. Original opinions” who “deserves to be remembered for the originality of his scholarship, the quality of his writing, and the vigor of his living”.
        5. Calls on the Government to take into account the enormous wealth of knowledge Eric Rolls distilled into his books when managing the new Community Conservation Areas created in the Pilliga.

        3. Condemns the Government for failing to install technology, which is readily available, to improve care for NSCCAHS patients.

        4. Calls on the Minister for Primary Industries to reconsider this disastrous decision.

        1. Notes that following the Government’s decision to lift the moratorium on genetically modified (GM) canola, Australia’s largest lamb exporter Tatiara Meats has expressed concern the decision will significantly damage its business.
        2. Notes that Australia’s largest producer of natural foods has stated their customers do not want GM products in the food chain.
        3. Notes that Goodman Fielder and Coles Myer have both indicated that they do not want GM products following consultation with their customers.
        4. Calls on the Minister for Primary Industries to reconsider the Government’s decision to jeopardise Australia’s food industry.

        1. Notes that Japan, China and the European Union are moving to remove genetically engineered components from consumer products.
        2. Notes that a genetically modified (GM) food supplement killed 100 people in America and caused thousands to become ill.
        3. Notes that tests show GM products are more dangerous to children than non-GM products, and pregnant mothers may endanger their unborn child by consuming GM products.
        4. Calls on the Minister for Primary Industries to reconsider the Government’s decision to end the moratorium.

        1. Notes the administrative disarray that the Isolated Patients Travel Assistance and Accommodation Scheme (IPTAAS) entails.

        3. Calls on the Government to undertake an urgent review of the scheme to ensure that applicants are being treated respectfully and are receiving fair and equitable access to funding

        1. Notes that based on advice that the upgraded highway would be elsewhere, the Minister for Roads has approved a change to the route for the Pacific Highway near Warrell Creek despite a number of families moving to the area.
        2. Notes that these families are distressed due to this late change of route and its impact on their properties and quality of life.
        3. Notes that families have been left in limbo without compensation until the eventual construction of the upgraded highway.
        4. Calls on the Minister for Roads to respond to representations dated 3 October 2007, consider the impacts of his decision upon these constituents’ lives and give them justice.

        2. Recalls that an estimated 7 million Ukrainians in the constituent Ukrainian Soviet Republic starved to death as a result of that regime’s policies in 1932-1993 alone, and that millions more lost their lives in the purges which ensued for the rest of the decade.
        3. Notes that this constitutes one of the most heinous politically inspired genocides in history and that this Ukraine famine was one of the greatest losses of human life in any one country in the 20 th century and moreover remains insufficiently known and acknowledged by the world community and the United Nations as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian nation and her people as has been recognised by the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament of Ukraine).
        4. Honours the memories of those that lost their lives.

        3. Notes that The Hills has just one general duties police officer per 3851 residents compared with a State average of one to 1103.
        4. Notes that, as a consequence, a Hills general duties constable has to deal with 603 incidents a year compared to a State average of 394, and that this is having a major impact on response times, clear-up rates and proactive policing.
        5. Calls on the Government to immediately provide the 21 additional officers the Police Association says are the minimum number required to keep The Hills community safe.
